Philanthropy

Every fall, Delta Zeta puts on its Shell Shocked philanthropy event. Shell Shocked is a flag football tournament that fraternities participate in to raise money for UW's Speech and Hearing Sciences, and Gallaudet University (school for the hearing impaired). Because of Delta Zeta's support, UW's Speech and Hearing Sciences department is able to award graduate scholarships and provide funding for hearing services.

Kappa chapter also regularly participates in Relay for Life in conjuction with other events for Greek Week (a Greek community-wide philanthropy). Delta Zeta's participation in Greek Week 2007 earned us a 2nd place spot. Delta Zeta members have also been involved in Race for the Cure, Jingle Bell run, and many fraternity philanthropies.
